The Certificate IV in Yoga Teaching is your first step towards becoming an outstanding yoga teacher. The 12-month program is divided into practical and theory sessions giving you all the tools to teach yoga competently and authentically. You will learn to plan, organise and conduct yoga classes for groups or individuals, including essential methodology for teaching asana (postures), pranayama (breath), and meditation. The content includes Western and Yogic Anatomy, Yoga Philosophy, and the important subject of Yoga Business amongst others.

The learner group for this qualification are people wishing to gain a qualification in order to work as a yoga teacher providing support to groups of individuals within a studio setting or those wishing to open their own small business.
The learner group are those who require a structured, classroom based program with significant practical experience.
This is an entry level course and no previous skills in yoga teaching are necessary. Experience of the yoga industry is preferred but not essential.
Entrants must have:
Academic Entry Requirements
Year 10 or equivalent and above.
The learners’ physical attributes may influence their ability to complete the training and assessment. Assessment and training requires students to be physically capable of performing a range of yoga activities. Manual handling is also required.
Students need to be able to relate to clients of differing ages and backgrounds, have a keen interest to assist students to learn to yoga, have good problem solving skills, sound literacy and numeracy skills, be enthusiastic, tactful, patient and have a sense of humour.
The course is aimed at students 18 years of age and over.
